Welcome to EDT 315
Welcome to EDT 315! I hope that I can show you exciting and wonderful ways to effectively integrate technology into your teaching! I am currently a sixth grade teacher and use many of tools I am going to show you with my students and staff memebers. How do you feel about integrating technology into your teaching?

I feel it is very important to integrate technology to keep up with the 21st century learner. We all need to keep up with the times as a teacher to be able to engage our students!
ReplyDeleteI am really interested in how I can incorporate technology into physical education and health, especially because most physical activity takes place in the gymnasium.
ReplyDeleteSome days you wake up and realize man things would be so much better with technology. Other days you wake up and say man things would be so much better if I was teaching. But the best days are when you're eating lunch and say man if I could combine technology and teaching my life would be dope.

ReplyDeleteI feel that as long as it is not an impediment, that technology should be integrated into technology. As a history teacher, I hope to show my students how to properly conduct research, and it is relevant that most information has been digitized and is more available online rather than in a book in the library. I want to integrate technology only as it fits, as I want to make sure my students understand and are independent in their thinking, hopefully not becoming too reliant on technology to do their work for them.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to having the opportunity to create lessons that my students and I to use technology creatively. When subbing I find that students are excited by technology in the classroom.

ReplyDeleteTechnology has shaped the society we live in today. Toddlers are using iPads, middle schoolers have smart phones, and college students are using computer programs, ebooks, etc to complete their degrees. Technology has been integrated into classrooms from Kindergarten through Graduate School. I can't wait to use modern/current technology in my classroom. I think it will keep students engaged and interested in the subject matter. Technology also offers an opportunity for interactive learning, which is absolutely necessary for all students!
ReplyDeleteTechnology in the classroom is a difficult tool to successfully integrate into a lesson. If used properly and by a teacher who is trained in the technology, it can propel the classroom experience into a completely different spectrum. The reality of technology is that not every teach is well trained in its use. Teachers being to depend on the technology to teach the lesson rather than the technology help teach a lesson.
ReplyDeleteOverall I do only feel comfortable with technology in the classroom if used by a trained teacher.
I think its okay. It really depends on which situation your placed in. If a teacher has a good about of technology at his or her disposal then i think it could be valuable resource. It also heavily depends on the students. If the student don't have a good amount of knowledge about the technology you might have a situation where the student spend more time marveling over the technology rather then actually benefiting from its use.
ReplyDeleteI believe that integrating technology into my teaching can be highly beneficial. However, I do worry for school systems and students who are unable to update their technology as frequently as it changes. Technology is certainly helpful, but I believe it still has its limits. But only time will tell!
ReplyDeleteIt very beneficial and can be less time consuming. Integrating technology can grasp the interest of the students simply because the way technology is evolving with this day and age. Many students are up to date with the latest technology which will also enable the teacher to use the newest and best applications and downloads to improve the classroom curriculum.
